This was a blind buy. I took a chance because of the price. I’m still trying to like this one but it smells like a common old lady scent. I hate wasting money so I’ve been wearing it to bed to see if it grows on me. I can say this one is very potent and it last’s all day. It might give you a headache though if you don’t like that old lady perfume smell.

Incredible dry, woody gourmand. A groundbreaking trendsetter for the year 2000. This fragrance is woody, spicy, fruity, gourmand. It starts out with a highly astringent opening that then opens up into the sexiest, spiciest, deepest vanilla/praline/plum you could find. It lasts all day and has phenomenal sillage. It smells like a drier, more aromatic version of la vie est Belle. Or shall I say that LVEB smells like a sweeter, fruitier version of Mauboussin, since Mauboussin is older. Really an amazing value for the money. Don't be put off by the rough opening, it gets way better and the dry down is phenomenal.

My husband bought it for me last fall in Paris I was like I don’t know this perfume… but today it’s my favourite perfume and everybody who smells it on me really like it. I recommend it to whoever wants to buy and use it.

Everywhere I go I am complimented on my fragrance. Mauboussin is a wonderful scent, but you must use it in moderation… a little goes a long way and lasts all day.
