This fragrance is for the oud lover, like seriously. Very middle eastern dna. I don’t think it’s a completely smooth oud. It’s a touch indolic so be aware. That said if you like an oud forward scent, have a good amount of experience with Middle Eastern scents you may really like this. The rose is also scentric but doesn’t come in until approximately 30 minutes of wear. The rose becomes quite beautiful in the dry down especially as most Arabic perfumes sorta are apt to do. Go easy on the trigger or you are likely to go anosmic as well as cause this to happen to others close to you. This is a very strong scent, woody, with a touch of mystery. It’s certainly complex though doesn’t have that many notes disclosed. Actually I pick up on 3 notes not listed that makes this perfume an interesting wear. I think it takes experience to wear well. 35 plus unisex fragrance. I think it’s fine for most occasions but not every season. This will shine in late Fall Winter. Projection first hour is quite good then creates a decent size scent bubble. Sillage is also above average first two hours. This perfume is quite nice once you reach dry down regardless of having a deep love for oud. It a beautiful woody comforting scent at this point but you have to be able to reach this point. I don’t want to say you need to tolerate all of the other wear time because it is a nice scent but some cannot get past the oud prior. It smells wonderful to others regardless of where you are into the wear. It’s sophisticated, rich/expensive smelling from application through out the life of it. Just don’t expect a floral, pretty girl perfume whether start or finish. Yes I would buy again as it is quite something else when layered. A vanilla extrait is perfect or I like a very maturated Vanilla 28 or Vanilla Seduction by Mason Asrar. No maturation needed for the latter. It’s incredible upon first spray. You could bump this up with some more rose as well. Does need to be a dense rose, something quite jammy and strong because this is a very strong perfume. It’s not beastly but it skates pretty close to that performance level. I think it would be a wonderful date night fragrance (Fall/Winter). I wouldn’t use this for the office unless you’re very circumspect in application. Most who smell you will like it. Perfectly unisex but if I had to pick a lean, I’d go with feminine but it should work fine for men as well. No, this is not a safe blind buy but it’s also very inexpensive so getting a decants probably not going to be fiscally smart. A decanter plus shipping will be about the same amount as the full bottle. If you want to educate your nose this would be a good buy. It’ll teach you at least an appreciation for Arabic and oud (in general) scents. It will help you learn about more complex smelling scents and layering to boot. No, I would not buy this as a gift for someone either unless you know they already enjoy it. Yes I would purchase again. Time, place, occasion, season all must be considered as well as layering combo’s but that said this is quite a lot of quality for the money. However I understand that notes play off one another so don’t mind when oud is slightly indolic. Makes the other notes really pop. Sorta like putting a brilliant jewel against black velvet. The colors are ever more defined and beautiful. Contrast helps you appreciate even more so than if you didn’t have a background. This is an excellent example of this theory. The rose is ever more beautiful as is the dry down which is really exceptional. Absolutely deserves 5 stars!

This fragrance is for a lover of oud. That's it, that's all. I can't get past the ever-present oud. I really don't smell the other notes. I like oud, but this is overwhelming. This is not for me.
