The brush looks unusual, but mascara is the best one on the market. I've been using it for years.

This isn't the Sisley product I thought I was getting. I had a previous Sisley mascara with a generous arched brush that left my lashes full. This one has a skinny straight brush with bristles so small you can barely see them. It's like running a toothpick over your lashes.
