My hair is very fine, so I use this before putting a curling iron to it. The curl holds better. If I choose not to curl it, it will give a lot of volume.

I bought a bottle of Powder Play by Big Sexy Hair YEARS ago at my salon after my stylist sprinkled a TINY bit on my brand new , somewhat shaggy pixie. I'm a natural redhead with more than enough incredibly healthy, silky hair for probably 3 people, and blessed to be a "blow & go" kind of girl... " like a shiny new penny" was how my mom proudly described my hair growing up. Almost every product I've ever used tended to visibly dull my naturally glowing tresses, but my wide face plus >3" diameter flat spot on my crown scream for a bit of height that the weight of my overly thick, rapidly growing hair fights against. This product is sheer perfection for my style & smells heavenly!!! Yes, I realize how fortunate I am... but Powder Play not only gives incredible, lasting volume with ZERO dull or oily residue to thick, straight hair like mine... it was the ONLY product that ever made my mom's chemotherapy thinning OR super fine, but thick, wavy remission(5 times over 26 years) regrowth both manageable and lustrous as well. This is THE SUPREME hair product in my opinion and I CANT WAIT till it's back in stock... the only drawback I can think of??? Oh, how it makes me miss my mom, who sadly, but understandably, FINALLY stopped fighting back against cancer in January 2018... a mere 25 1/2 years past the 6 month prognosis she was given in 1992. You won’t find a better product for adding texture to your hair than this Big Sexy Powder. If you have fine hair that is prone to easily becoming oily or weighed down by product, this is your answer. The hold is amazing but not thick & goopy. You can also reshape or freshen up your look throughout the day without adding extra product. This works beautifully for pixie hair cuts with spit of whispy end that need emphasized. Best texture product hands down.
