For Diptyque Tempo

I'm wearing this right now, and I flip-flop between Tempo edp & Tam Dao edp being my favorite Diptyque. Either way, this is absolutely gorgeous! This is similar to Heritage by Guerlain, but less formal, and more wearable & cozy in the dry down. Happy sniffing!

Tempo is magic in a bottle. I cannot explain it but I have never found such a unique scent. I could says woodsy, or earthy or spicy with a hint of green, but that would be selling it short. A walk in a magical wooded forests, where mythical creatures hide in plain sight. A breath of fresh air. A scent so addictive every other fragrance seems redundant. So fresh, so seductive to my olfactory nerves, I spray it before work, when I get home, and before bed. It is the scent of a magical place I have never been, in another world full of peace and happiness. I am obsessed. People at work that I don’t even know have stopped me when I walk by and say “why do you smell soooo good???” I want to keep it a secret so I can be the only one wearing it. It’s beyond my signature fragrance, it is now the missing DNA my brain has been searching for my entire adult life. It is a balm for my soul…

Tempo is unusually light and agreeable for a patchouli-forward fragrance. Initially it gives off the earthy, animalic notes typical of a traditional patchouli. This develops fairly quickly into something more woody and spice leaning, with an edge of black pepper and hints of lightly sweet leafy green. Sexy, sophisticated, and well suited for cool weather and evening wear. Very good longevity. Remains detectable as a skin scent after 9+ hours.
