Mancera French Riviera

I purchased the 4oz bottle from FragranceNet, and while its a nice fragrance, it wasn't what I expected. Based on other reviews, I was anticipating a more citrusy, lemon-forward scent. On me, it came across more powdery and floral, with a noticeable baby powder-like softness and a rosy note that stands out more than any citrus. I didn't really pick up on the bright lemony vibe others mentioned, although side by side with an unpeeled lemon, I can catch a very faint citrus note, similar to the smell of the peel. That being said, its still a clean, elegant, and feminine fragrance-- just different from what I was expecting. if you enjoy soft, fresh florals, this could be a great fit for you.

The opening is straight forward with lemon and citrus with aqua notes. As it dries you get a nice green and blue accord that is smooth and fresh. The mimosa and pine give is a wonderful green sweetness. The pine and blue water notes gives such a nice cool vibe with a sweetness that is not cloying and natural. It almost reminds of lemon drop candies sitting near a lake with pine trees in the distance. Theyre all there, but not overpowering one another. I catch more fresh water than salt water to my nose. I am very unfamiliar with aquatic and freshie scents. How original and unique this is, I have no idea. Its nice for sure and i enjoy how smooth and balanced it is

Love this! Citrusy, but not overpowering. Stuck around for 6 hours on the skin. Based on enjoying this Mancera scent, I ordered samples of Cedrat Boise and Aoud Lemon Mint.
