Cafe Chantant Parfum

God, is this addictive! First spray I was like Ugh, Shalimar! Why did I buy this? Then it quickly did its magic on my skin and became this almond cherry biscotti mixed with 1940's waxy lipstick and compact powder and Dr. Pepper and whipped cream, and its so elevated and intriguing, comforting and different from anything else I have ever smelled. I generally change perfumes all day long but I am so into this I feel intoxicated by it. Its definitely old timey which is funny considering my physical aesthetic is a bit punk rock but this is unlike anything else I have smelled. I bought it so that I could find out what Cuir Beluga smells like since it's hard to get and $400. This is divine. I will continue to buy this for my perfume collection. Not a good choice for the Spring or Summer, but will be great in the Fall.

To me, this feels more like a French perfume, powdery with a vintage feel. It’s light, but still has depth. I don’t get a lot of the cherry that other people do. I get more of the musk, iris and benzoin. It seems to expand into the surrounding air creating a light cloud of scent. I find it comforting and enjoyable.

Perfect scent for fall/winter. Cherry flecked whipped cream on an almond cream puff. Unique, soft, more feminine leaning to my nose and lasts 6 hours or so. It’s not beast mode, but not all perfumes need to be beastly to be enjoyed. This one is for when you’re in the mood for a more inoffensive, comforting fragrance…a good option for the office, for intimate gatherings where there are perfume sensitive folks, to curl up on a chilly day with a good book…you get the idea. I personally love it and use it often.

Very light, airy, soft sweet scent. I really smell the cherry but because it isn’t loud it doesn’t come off as synthetic as some cherry scents can. I only wish it projected more, on myself it quickly became a skin scent. Leans feminine, can be worn year round.
