Obvious Un Poivre

Un Poivre is a gem of a fragrance: truly unisex, complex yet comforting, and very well-balanced. Based around black pepper, with a touch of pink pepper and other spices, it smells naturalistic without feeling like you're wearing a spice cabinet. (The notes mention cumin, which can be polarizing, but it's extremely subtle.) The other herbal and woody notes balance things out and give it complexity. It starts beautifully -- not "screechy" like some scents that have pink pepper -- and it lasts 8 hours on me as a skin scent. I like how Un Poivre can be layered with other scents: it makes vanilla scents spicier, musk and iso-E-super scents richer, and does unique things to feminine-floral scents. (I can imagine it would work for layering with men's cologne, too.) It's just extremely well done and versatile!
