OK I’ve had this for about a month now and when I first got it, it was light but now it smells really good light citrus, vanilla floral scent. This was a blind buy because I was researching dupes for Andromeda.. I love it and I’m gonna let it sit for maybe a few more weeks just before I wear it.

If you like the Emir collection of When Soul Gets High, Fire Your Desire, & You’re Drugged, (well all of them), you will most likely appreciate this one. No, doesn’t smell like any of them, but performance is similar and reminds me of their complexity just without the booziness of the Emir collection. I love that collection and what it teaches us about perfumes especially Middle Eastern ones. The bottle is very similar as well. Don’t know if by design/intention but it fits this concept nicely. No perhaps not a completely safe blind buy but it’s so inexpensive that buying a decant probably isn’t really worth it. You’ll pay as much in shipping and product than just buying the full bottle here for $20. If you like the notes generally I think you’ll like this. A very well crafted smooth blend that absolutely smells intentional and expensive. While not a beastly in performance, it’s 75-80% there. Projection is above average and sillage is moderate for the first 90 minutes. You’ll experience a nice scent bubble over the next 4-6 hours. I over spray at no less than 10 spritzes up to 25 without choking anyone out. It’s one I’m often complimented on. At least 1 person will say something throughout the day wanting to know what it is. Generally its 2-3 people mentioning something nice. This perfume is best for someone experienced, over 30 years old, and confident. You need to wear this perfume, not it wearing you. Good for most occasions except perhaps office unless making it your signature scent and yes it’s good for this purpose. Most will say this is seasonal best for Fall/Winter but if you pull back on the trigger some you should be able to wear this anytime of the year with the exception of a very, very hot day. I have and it didn’t work out very well for me. Beautiful to layer with vanillas (not a gourmand vanilla tho) and florals. Not a fan of this with any gourmands. Love it especially with Vanilla Seduction (Maison Asrar) or Maubbousin’s Star or Star Cherie. I love this too with a strong rose centric for date night or even a very smooth oud too. While this is a more complex scent than many designers on the market it’s not terribly difficult to understand. Actually I think with experience even 20-25 year olds could pull it off too. This is unisex leaning feminine. A man could add leather to this however to pull it over to that side though pretty well or a whiskey would also help & would be quite nice. I’ve layered this with a champagne scent as well and it was really nice but took it further over more so to feminine wear. If a woman and adding a boozy scent like whiskey it still works well for us. Probably because of all the florals but though it makes it more versatile for a man to wear the opposite doesn’t mean it pulls it more masculine on a female oddly enough. I particularly love layering perfumes though to make them fit me and the circumstance I’m using it in. No, I don’t think this would be the best fragrance for gifting. It’s not polarizing at all but it’s strong, and the complexity is there with a good number of notes that risk others not mixing well with this perfume. Unless you know that person’s tastes, even if you do, this one is just a little riskier than so many others. It’s just not a generic scent profile. I think this is a beautiful smooth blended fragrance with no screechie notes nor any scents fighting for the spotlight. They blend up and down the profile very easily and seemingly without effort. That’s what makes a perfume smell expensive to me. It’s not trying too hard or at all really. Yes I have re-purchased and probably will buy another when I run out. I’ve an exceptionally large collection now so this is saying quite a lot if I will replace a perfume. I think this deserves the 5 stars. It’s a workhorse no matter the size of the collection! Oh if you especially like ylang-ylang, you will definitely notice how well it’s been done here. It doesn’t come through until about the first 20-30 minutes but is angelic when it does. Everyone is sure to like the dry down too. Cool because that’s the longest period of wear in a perfume so I really especially love a fragrance with a beautiful dry down!

Fantastic purchase! Maison Alhambra Anarch snaps open with bright citrus and spicy pepper, quickly wrapped in aromatic lavender and a dash of nutmeg/cardamom for a bold, modern feel. As it settles, smoky woods and amber give depth while a touch of patchouli keeps it sleek and masculine. Confident, polished, and effortlessly versatile—from casual daytime to a sharp night out.
