Not a Perfume, created by renegade design house Juliette Has a Gun, has persistently defied easy dismissal since its introduction in 2010. As befits its unique name, Not a Perfume defies the conventions of women's fragrances. Eschewing traditional base notes-let alone the higher accords of a typical fragrance-this scented emollient has only a single active ingredient, ambroxan. What was originally intended as a stopgap replacement for gray amber has become, what is said to be, the world's only totally hypoallergenic romantic fragrance.

I love this fragrance! It has a fresh, clean fragrance and lasts for hours. I receive compliments each time I wear it. I would highly recommend!

I received this fragrance for my birthday after my daughter had a sample of it and now we "argue" about who gets to keep it in their room. We both get so many complements when we wear this perfume but you hardly smell it yourself. It is a very clean, subtle smell. I love it!

I was not sure if I would like this "non-perfume". It is lovely, and I can not tell you how many compliments I get..on a daily basis. It is clean, refreshing, not chemical at all. To me it I just pleasant, and oddly naturally liked by myself, as well as girlfriends, and men as well. The best part is that it is not overpowering or cloying..just long lasting clean and beautiful. It was a surprise to me that I am totally in love with this fragrance. Glad I found it, and hope it is available to wear for a long time.
