Oscar absolutely shines in the sweltering, swampy summers where I live. I love the zesty black pepper, sun-dried mandarin peel and aromatic nutmeg accord. The silage is so delicious--genteel, masculine and comforting. Not fruity. Not serious. It's just a perfect summer cologne for work and for the weekend. And it's perfect for men of all ages. Smells great, performs well and costs little...I keep two bottles on hand.

Growing up, through college & as a you adult, I loved Oscar Silver. For some reason they quit making it & that caused me to go through many other scents to use. Then I came across OSCAR. I do not know if they renamed it or developed it to be extremely similar to Silver, but I am so glad I found it. OSCAR is a down to earth scent that is not too woodsy or too sweet. It is one of two Oscar de La Renta's that I use. One for everyday & this one for nights & special occasions. Naturally I do Recommend OSCAR to anyone looking for a great cologne that is not overpowering or fruity.

Oscar for men,by Oscar de la Renta, is a great smelling fragrance. I'm picking up on the nutmeg and cloves as very prominent notes that are very distinct with it's own uniqueness. I love it. This is one of my all time favorites in my new and limited collection of great fragrances and I look forward to wearing it indefinitely. Please don't ever discontinue this one.
