I love this classic fragrance and have worn it for decades. The Vetiver Extrême by Guerlain that came out in 2007 was much better however; it was a perfect vetiver and far superior to the original Guerlain Vetiver.

I've been wearing Vertiver by Guerlain since 1984. It has gone through some changes over the years. Once there was a stronger cedar note to it that I miss. ( ALTHOUGH MY FRIEND SAID IT SMELLED LIKE A HAMSTER CAGE) But even the latest incarnation is still pretty amazing and probably will appeal to more men. It's a classic!

A classic. I love tobacco, rugged leather and traditional middle eastern authetnic oud oil blends. This is so beyond my typical. And i am in love with it! Beautiful green citrus opening that transitions so smoothly into a dry smoky vetiver tobacco blend with sage and some warm spices changing it up. Then the soapyness sets. I typically hate soapy scents but this, this is so smooth, so well blended, i could sorsy half the bottle just to be wrapped in the green soapy vibe. This is versatile. 4 seasons, day or night. Ive never felt a perfume that was so smoothly blended and so purposeful in any season or occassion. Its masculine but in such a soft way. Truly an old school gentlemans scent. Once my decant is done, full bottle will be ordered.
