It has a nice smoky leather scent. Good for fall and deep winter months to capture that cold smoky scent. I get tons of compliments from older women and men 30's -50s age range. It's a cologne for a mature man. When you wear you picture yourself by the fireplace in a silk robe with a glass of cognac in your hand watching the fir burn on the wood.

I have not smelled the original but this stuff is good! Soapy leather scent with a white musk dry down. I can smell it on myself (not just whiffs) with 5 total sprays, a coworker about 10 feet away asked me what I was wearing because she liked it. Perfect for cold weather, when it arrived the first sprays smelled medicinal and funky but 3 days later I wore it and definitely will pick it up again when it gets colder. Highly recommend
