Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare

Dr. Dennis Gross, a New York City board-certified and practicing dermatologist, created his line of skincare in 2002 in response to a growing need being expressed by his clients. They wished to continue using his effective skin care products at homes, in between or in place of office visits.

His first successful treatment for home use was a non-irritating face peel, rich with antioxidants and vitamins. It was a gentler, two-step, fragrance-free version of the chemical peels popular in the 1990s, and he named it the Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel. As of 2014, this micro-exfoliating product continues to be the focal point of the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare line, with a reputation for brightening the complexion, reducing the signs of aging and successfully treating acne. In 2005, Woman's Wear Daily awarded the product the "Beauty Biz Breakthrough Product of the Year for Prestige Skincare."

In his private practice, Dr. Gross counsels his patients on the importance of protecting skin from diseases, such as melanoma, with sunscreen products, not only at the beach, but as a part of their daily beauty routine. Many products that contain high SPF values to protect the skin are not compatible with a smooth cosmetic appearance, but Dr. Gross has artfully balanced the need for adequate sun protection with the refined finish of cosmetic application.
